Phillip Phillips & The Rock ‘N Roll Marathon DoSavannah!

Phillip Phillips began his road to "American Idol" fame here in Savannah this weekend and you can hear him play for free!

The singer / songwriter returns to the Host City November 8 to headline the fourth annual Rock 'n' Roll Savannah Marathon and Half Marathon finish line concert. Cranford Hollow is the opening act.

Marathon this year will be 6 to 9 November and will feature two new challenges: 5k and 1-mile races on Sunday afternoon. Online registration is still open to www.RunRocknRoll.com/Savannah. Two days of running the marathon and half marathon on Saturday and the new 5K, 1 mile Kids Rock Savannah and races set for Sunday at Daffin Park. Both the 5K and one-mile race will end in Grayson Stadium.

This weekend get a history lesson and Sweetgrass baskets too! The Pin Point Heritage Museum is bringing in two local sweetgrass basket makers for a full day of demonstrations and education.

Husband and wife team Darryl and Angela Stoneworth lead sweetgrass basket demonstration in the Pin Point Heritage Museum, 9924 Pin Point Ave., and 11 am-5 pm Nov. 8. Tickets are $ 15 per person and include entrance fee to museum.

This weekend get your Harvest Festival and Georgia concoction art solution all at once! Harvest Fest is Saturday and Sunday at River Street and Southbound Brewing Co. is bringing in 20 breweries in Georgia for a craft beer tasting, many of which are creating specialty beers just for the weekend.

November 7 musical sounds of Keith & Ross hit the streets, and November 8 brings Accomplices stage. There will be local and regional artisans display and sell their handmade work, along with a section of local suppliers as Savannah Coffee Roasters, nurture and Chocolat by Adam Turoni.

The Savannah Second Annual Food and Wine Festival starts on November 10 and will not want to wait to get their tickets. Celebrations packages a week over 40 events such as cooking classes, learning experiences, dinners and tastings and most events sold out early last year.
